Brush Grade Mastic

Brush Grade Mastic is a fibrated, asphalt based mastic formulated with a blend of SBS rubber modifier, penetrating oils, and plasticizing agents. Brush Grade Mastic is asbestos free. Brush Grade Mastic is used to adhere bituminous flashing plies and SBS modified bitumen flashing membranes to vertical surfaces. The brushable consistency will help speed the application in comparison to trowel applied mastics. Emergency repairs over damp surfaces can be made with Brush Grade Mastic. All repairs, including those to flashings, edgings, splits, and blisters, must include a reinforcing mesh, such as BURmesh, or a reinforcing fabric to provide additional strength.
