AlphaGrade Base Coat is used to restore gravel-surfaced, built-up roofing (BUR) systems; it is applied after AlphaGrade, which secures gravel to the roof, and before AlphaGrade Top Coat, a highly reflective surface coating.  This combination provides three layers of waterproofing protection to aging but still functional gravel-surfaced roofs, so the roof does not need to be replaced. With virtually no smell, AlphaGrade Base Coat is perfect for use in sensitive environments such as schools, hospitals, occupied buildings, etc.

Composition:

The AlphaGrade Base Coat is a two-component, bio-based, polyurethane liquid applied product.  Its high amount of bio-based content makes it both sustainable and environmentally responsible.  The high solids content results in thicker dry film compared to lower solids products.  AlphaGrade Base Coat is also low VOC (0g/L).
